School re-opening1 January 2021 (by admin) |
We would like to take this opportunity to wish our pupils, parents, staff and all members of the Rathore School community a Happy New Year! 2020 was a year which we will never forget.
Following Minister Weir’s announcement yesterday, Rathore School will be open to pupils on Tuesday 5th January as planned. We would however please ask that following the Christmas holidays we are all extremely vigilant at this time in order to protect everyone. The closure of Primary and Post-Primary schools is due to the unprecedented increase in COVID-19 transmission over the holiday period. We will be taking this increase seriously in the best interests of our entire school community. While Rathore School staff continually work hard to make our school as safe as possible for our pupils, we are reliant on parents’ help by keeping children who are unwell at home. If your child or anyone in your household is showing any symptoms of COVID-19 we would also please ask that children remain at home until appropriate testing has been sought. We would also ask that all parents/ guardians are contactable throughout the school day should we have to send a class bubble home as a result of being identified as close contacts.
During this period in which there is an increase in positive COVID-19 test results, we would please ask for your understanding and patience as we try our best to maintain staffing levels. This situation is beyond our control and it may be necessary, following a risk assessment, to close a class bubble if adequate staffing is not available.
We will continue to keep you updated as more information is made available and would like to thank all members of the Rathore School community who have worked together to keep us all safe!
Here’s to a better year...together we can!
